Chasers After 7 Races
Since NA$CAr changed the rules for The '07 Chase,
i'm not sure that my past 'formula / trend' can be
as accurate as in the past.

In the last 9 seasons from '98 thru '06,
86% of drivers (77 of 90) who finished in the
Final Top 10, were in the Top 12 in points
after the first 7 races.

The Top 12 Drivers after 7 races in '07 are:
1. *JGordon
2. *JBurton
3. *MKenseth
4. *JJohnson
5. *DHamlin
6. *CBowyer
7. *KyBusch
8. *CEdwards
9. *TStewart
10. JMcMurray
11. MMartin
12. DStremme

Some Other Drivers to consider:

*MY PICKS for The Chase*

Drivers NOT in the Top 12 after 7 races:
'06 J.Burton-16th, DHamlin-14th.
'05 M.Kenseth-21st, J.Mayfield-16th, C.Edwards-13th.
'04 M.Martin-16th.

There still might be hope for drivers farther back
than 21st, since in '05, MKenseth was 28th
after 8 races & 24th after 14.

What my topic is--who will be The Chasers, not The Champ.
With 19 races to go, i think predicting Chasers at this
early date is SPECIAL. But like i stated for this '07 season,
the rules have changed, so my '98 thru '06 TREND may not
have an 86% accuracy rate as the preceding 9 seasons.

It's nothing against u Mike/Speed, but ain't nobody nowhere
has better stats than this, even in Las Vegas!

It appears that KHarvick has some internal problems (again)
that has caused his big time fall in points since the D500.
I didn't wan't to make a prediction that DEJ
won't make The Chase'07, BUT i think contract negotiations
will distract his team from making the chase.
