why are you making stuff up?

What am I making up, asshole? Outlook opened and started trying to send
subscribe emails.

I tried it in 2 browsers and the worst that happened was some bad
pictures loaded up.

I got about 30 new internet explorer sessions, and then outlook opened and
started making emails; jerkwad.

Sounds like you new moniker should be spammer instead of hummer or hammer.

FYI, the tinyurl.com link is reported to be a site that attacks your
system with malware. I'd be very careful going to the sites listed.
Several posters in another ng reported lots of crap being written into
their registry and spoke of taking over an hour to get rid of it. At
least that which could be identified.

Nah - I put the assnozzle in killfile and moved on. My fault for falling
for such easy bait by clicking on a link instead of just going to jayski.

Took me about 20 minutes. First I did Search & Destroy; which must have
found like 40 or 50 malware entries; and then I did Lavasoft Adaware; which
found another 30. I am running a full norton scan now; but so far it
came up with nothing. I shut down before outlook sent the messages - I
checked my sent folder. So, 20 minutes or so to fix this stuff. And I
usually do those scan programs about once a week anyway; so it's not the
end of the world. Still, I would not mind finding that idiot in real life
and stuffing his head up his own ass.

As soon as it went to a website (not Jayski), I thought - DOH!!!. And you
couldn't hit ALT-F4 fast enough. Within 15 seconds there were 30 boxes even
with the F4's and then Outlook started opening e-mail boxes and I
immediately took out the battery and unplugged. I knew I was fighting a
battle I could not win. Do you think reporting headers really does
anything? I figure they collect the $14/month and don't give a shit about
complaints for the most part. Though I did get punted from Teranews once!
LOL

vermin like these should not be allowed to go
unchecked - the least i can do is report them
to their host when i have enough info to do so...

If you can locate the general area of origin, you can always copy the
local police. Its not that they know their ass from Thursday, but they
might take a little interest if one of them thinks they have technical
skills.

Anyone think to send jayski an email advising of this malady so he can
kill the link?

Has nothing to do with jayski, he is just using his website name to get
folks who are dumm enough to click on a link in a newsgroup, it takes you to
a site that is full of spyware and malware and is very nasty indeed, would
be nice to find this idiot and kick his ass.

Hmmmm, when I click on the link, Avast found a virus,
VBS:Malware(Script), and aborted the connection.

maybe the tinyurl link is a trojan :-(
Maybe the OP should be reported to his ISP.
