The statement's only stupid if one is stupid enough to think it's
stupid.

I'd like them to start using a dash display of lights that coincide
with
the
flags so that all drivers get the flag signals at the same time.

Yo... that'd be great for the "passing flag", wouldn't it? The little
blue
and yellow lights would come on and suddenly 43 cars all move to the
outside
and slow down to let... who(?) go by?

Again, with spotters, radios, etc. the courtesy flag is entirely
unnecessary.

But each car does have its own transponder and could have its own
courtesty
light if Nascar felt it was necessary.

Damn! I was trying to be funny. I gotta go get that book back out of the
library on how to be funny on usenet...

Have you ever heard of the term for being a gentlemanlly driver? Dale JR is
no gentleman to do what was right by letting the lead lap cars go.

Sorry Mike. I missed it completely. After some of the exchanges I've had in
here lately, I wasn't even thinking toungue-in cheek.

But to be fair, it wasn't all that funny. I'd go ahead and check out that
book if I were you.

Being two laps down, and no where in the running for the win when there
are
less than 20 laps to go does not give him the right to race the leaders
and
cause problems for drivers to win. Next time he does that, NASCAR should
park his ass for the rest of the race.

He's Jr, he ain't gotta do shit, if he don't want to. Just ask BP.

That is a totally stupid statement. Anyone who knows anything
about racing understands that if you are two laps down you *have*
to get out of the way, unless your name is Earnhardt or
Schumaker.

I guess his humor is an acquired & experienced taste?

pretty good tongue in cheek female known as Julia ;-p

I must have watched a different race. I didn't see Jr. holding anyone up.
Wasn't Jr the second fastest car at the end of the race? I know he passed
Rusty (in 2nd at the time). If Kurt cut a tire (etc.) Jr. would have a lap
back. With a fast car and a number of cars also a lap down he could have
gain many positions in just a few laps. I am not a big Jr. fan (go 12) but I
do admire the never say die attitude.
