A very good read, and right on point:

A good read, indeed !

A couple of notations:

1. Dale Jarrett stepped-in for Rusty Wallace (God_send #1)
2. Her name is Suzy Kolber. (God_send #2)

Also of interest:

This means she must "prep" for two NASCAR pre-race shows, and one NFL football game every week.

Since when is there two NASCAR races per week ???

Nobody wants five or six hour teevee shows in this day and age. If the race
is to start at 1:15 the race telecast should start no earlier than 1:00. If
the various and sundry and assorted networks want to have a separate
pre-pregame show it should be listed in the teevee guide and tivo and
everywhere else as a separate show.

Additionally, only the Coca~Cola 600 and Daytona 500 should be allowed to
last for more than 400 miles. 500 miles at Fontana or Pocono will drive off
more viewers than NASCAR and their broadcast partners could even imagine.

It may have once been okay to have a five hour teevee show when there where
only two other channels with nothing on them. Them days are long gone.

Sometimes less is more both in terms of the silly pregame show and the
length of some of the races.

Even the ardent NASCAR fans in this chatroom often refer to Pocono and
Fontana as a good opportunity for a nap.

it says "prep for two SHOWS, that means TV shows, and not show as in "the
show is the show".

Great.
Another person not "into" NASCAR.
That has been the biggest problem with their lineups.
Great for diversity, not so great for quality programming.
Their nightly NASCAR show is a joke.

I can't argue with the amount of time that's taken up with Nascar
Nonsense. The pre-race (RaceDay) show could be a half hour, max. The
first thing they could do is get rid of Rutledge and Ricky Whoever.
Do a few garage/driver interviews, the BBs can pick their winners for
the day, and then switch over to the flyover and SSB.

Fifteen minutes of pregame would be plenty. Or make the pregame show
separate and as long as they want and start the race shortly after the race
broadcast begins. When there is an unfortunate rain delay and they run the
race the next day they do it the right way. They take about ten minutes for
the Invocation and National Anthem and then it is play ball!
