Imagine DE Jr. leaving DEI.

Imagine Teresa Earnhardt deciding to keep the number 8.

Imagine DE Jr. asking Richard Childress if he could have his daddy's
number, the 3.

Imagine Richard Childress saying OK.

Imagine Bud only committing to 32 races a year.

Imagine Goodwrench sponsoring DE Jr. for 4 races including the Daytona
500.

Imagine DE Jr. winning the Daytona 500 in that car.

Imagine...

Imagine Jr. getting exactly zero additional wins in the series.
could really happen...

Imagine Jr. quitting racing within 5 years.
he has said more than once that he would race past the age of 40...5
years he will be 37

Quote:
Imagine DEI folding up shop in 2 years.
will not happen...will become an average company

Imagine how stupid a move this is for both parties (this one is not
difficult to imagine).
only stupid on Teresas part..if she was smart (which this whole thing
shows she is not) is to give Jr total control of his team...give Jr
control of day to day business with his team..buy the equipment
needed..hire/fire people he wants on his team...i think if this would
have happened, jr would stay...

Not bloody likely. He will be in a top level car 1 day after the end
of the season.

Wrong again. DEI is done 1 day after Jr. leaves.

Agreed. Sr. is spinning in his grave.

Wait 'til DEI switches to Fords. They'll have to dig DE up & install a rev
limiter on his coffin.

I've always been able to imagine DeJr w/ DEI, but I can't imagine what you posited.
