Default Drivers to watch in 2006 - 12-19-2005 , 09:42 PM

J. McMurray
J. Gordon
J. Johnson
K.Busch
T. Stewart

2006 will be the last year of the real race cars because in 2007 they are
going to go to the ugly, bloated nerf cars.

I actually talked to a guy who is Rick Hendrick's business partner and he
told me that Kyle Busch drives the car at ten tenths all the time and could
care less about tires. So I do not think Kyle Busch is worth watching.

Kurt Busch is the real deal. The cops should have a little respect for the
Nextel Cup champion.

You just wait and see what Highlights does now that he is on a real race
team. Chip Gnassi is a good old boy but his race cars are like ofer 250.

I'm sure they will, considering that Kurt has a little respect for them.
Kurt is still a punk waiting for the next Jimmy Spencer punch in the face.

Yeah, maybe Metrosexual will finish 10th next year.

Highlights will finish way better than tenth.

Is this the same logic used in predicting Gordon would finish outside the
top 10 this year?

Uh, yeah........right.

J. Gordon
The jury is still out on their new crewchief.
And unless they fix several problems: Qualifying issues, missing race
set-ups, sporadic pit crew performance, they may be on the outside looking
in again at chase time.

J. Johnson
Rumors of problems within the 48 race team, with the possibility of
Knauss moving on to Evernham Motorsports. Dunno...
Quote:
K.Busch
He may drive harder & smarter than Rusty, but he's still driving Penske
equipment.

T. Stewart
As long as he keeps his sanity in tact, he will be a factor.

2006 will be the last year of the real race cars because in 2007 they are
going to go to the ugly, bloated nerf cars.
COF's will likely end my interest in Cup racing.

BTW, If I were to make a list of drivers to watch in '06, they would be:

Jeff Gordon (If team issues are repaired)
Kyle Busch
Casey Mears
Tony Stewart
Carl Edwards
Denny Hamlin

I gotta agree about Casey Mears. That guy seems to have some talent.
