Seriously, did he just forget how to drive a stock car?

And on top of that, Denny Hamlin's ridiculous move... what was he (or
his
spotter) thinking? Self cleaning track or not, you don't fly through a
wreck that fast.

Fat Tony just said it was his fault, and I think he's right, he had
plenty of time to avoid saddler.

You're not too good with sarcasm, are you?

-Steven
For those of you who do not get sarcasm, Tony Stewart said that it was his
fault for being within half a lap of Sadler. It was sort of like the time
a couple of seasons back when Jeff Gordon said that it was his (team's)
fault for getting in a wreck with a backmarker for running that far back in
the middle of the pack.

It was cool when the Fox announcers pointed out that Mark Martin negotiated
that moving chicane as easily as an Allstate housewife negotiates a
supermarket parking lot on Saturday morning.

Be it Cup or ARCA or Nationwide or IROC Mark Martin has never in his career
been in a race car that did not win races.

In a few more years Mark Martin may actually make good on his Cher-like
threat to retire and when he does a lot of race fans are going to miss
seeing the way he races. He drives sort of the opposite of Elliott Sadler.

Agreed, some blame goes to Tony.

Really? Explain.
I dunno, after looking at it again (and again and again and again) it
looks like he locked his brakes up. Perhaps he could have began slowing
down sooner. As the announcers said, most people anticipate the cars
going down the track so maybe Tony thought that would happen and then
realized it wasn't... but was too late.

I'm not saying it's Tony's fault, but perhaps it could have been less
disastrous for everyone else if he had slowed sooner? Maybe not. I
can't say I could put myself in his place and do anything differently.

I think the things getting as big as it was is definitely due to Hamlin,
as I said earlier.

TS was going over 160 MPH when the idiot (Sadler) slid up in front of
him...there wasn't *anything* he could do. I mean, he's a great
driver, but he's not a miracle worker.

Sadler is an idiot for trying to put his car somewhere that he dosn't
have the talent for, period.

AFA as Hamlin, props to him for causing my 2nd favorite, Jr, to have
another shitty day.

I realize how fast he is going and that nobody is that good. I Just
think he could have gone low or slowed sooner.

As it was, when it was apparent that Sadler's car wasn't going to go to
the inside, it was too late for Tony to turn down to the inside and his
only option was to lock up and hope for the best. If he had turned to
the inside it could've been avoided. But as I said before, it was too late.

And that's all I'm saying. I'm not putting fault on Stewart, only
saying things could have turned out differently. Perhaps the I
shouldn't have said "agreed", because the main point I'd like to make in
this whole conversation is that I'm pissed at Denny Hamlin.

LOL... you trip me up....Tony always(yes ALWAYS) has to try and insult
someone when he's ended up in the garage.... similar to the up and coming
Hamilin...

He didn't care, just wanted to kill the controversy. No doubt he was
poking his finger in the eye of the press. I was lmao when he said he
was completely at fault.

It wasn't even ES's fault. He was spun.

You missed the sarcasm, he said that it was his fault for being
anywhere near Sadler, meaning that he doesn't trust him not to crash
at any time.

The even better interview was with Hamlin, basically blaming
everything and everyone other than himself for his bonehead move of
plowing into Sadler at nearly full speed.

Hamlin made the move of the race. That was hardly "one of dem racin'
deals". More like "one of dem time to park yer ass" deals.

I strongly disagree. Gilliland was holding his line along the bottom
of the turn, while Sadler switched his line late in the corner trying
to get by the 70. The end result of that action was that he cut down
across Gilliland's front bumper. Short of diving onto the apron to
avoid Elliot, there wasn't anything David could have done in that
situation.

Granted, Sadler's spotter didn't do him any favors --- no warning
whatsoever that Gilliland was there --- but the spotter doesn't hold
the wheel. Sadler just plain f'ed up this week.

Imbecile Jr. finished about where he belongs.
