A lot of people are asking that question after watching Katherine Legge
win three Toyota Atlanta races this season.
Legge-25yrs British driver, is a rookie in the Toyota Atlantic,
the feeder series for Champ Car.
Patrick was winless in two seasons in the series.
Legge said she respects Patrick, but she'll be glad when people write
about her without mentioning Danica.

CRU: Legge has been getting testing time in a CART car '06.
I predict this Fem Driver will be the best of the bunch!

Erin Crocker-25yrs will run a full-time CTS schedule with Ray Evernham
with Betty Crocker as her Sponsor along with some NBS & ARCA.

RCR has moved Allison Duncan-25yrs from CA LateModels to
VA LateMods & maybe some ARCA and BGN East.
Sarah Fisher-26yrs from West Series to BGN East & ARCA.

Leilani Munter will run the Elite Div SE Series along with her
contributions to Ndotcom.

I haven't seen any announcements so far on:
Kelly 'Girl' Sutton-35yrs ran '05 CTS full-time.
Kim Crosby-42yrs made 8 NBS starts in '05 & '04
in the Boudreaux Butt Paste car.
Christi Passmore-24yrs made 10 ARCA starts in '05.
Shawna Robinson-42yrs made 6 NBS starts in '05.

make in the BAM car when it came about. I figured surely by now she had
enough races in Cup to lose the yellow rear bumper art. Mebbe not...

I'm not so sure that Shauna's not still eligible as a rookie. I think you
only lose your rookie eligibility if you compete in more than 7 races in any
single season. IOW, you could run 7 races per year for several years, and
still be eligible for ROTY.

It was 7 way before 2002. Not sure when it changed but its been 7 for
several years. I think it was changed in the 90's.

BTW, i sure didn't mean to imply that Shawna or Kim would ever have a shot

YOU might not have intended to imply that, but I would. They're both never
gonna get a cup ride. What's the up side? What market would either one bring
to nascar or a sponsor that they a) don't have now, or b) couldn't get with a
younger female driver that might have a multi-year future?

These aren't future Cup drivers, not at 35, and 42. I got nothin' against older
wimmin (NOTHIN'!) but this is the age of the young gun, male or female. Katie
Couric is not going to replace Carl Edwards. Nobody's gonna consider me for a
ride and I'd bring the entire about-to-be-eligible-to-join-AARP demographic with
me!
