Since I usually don't put even 2K miles on a car during a year, the 14
mpg isn't that big a deal for me. *If I were younger, I'd definitely
be doing my weekend errands around town on a scooter or moped. *LOL.

My Yukon gets around 12 mpg around town & about 19 on the hwy. It's big,
it's safe, and it's good looking, The only real problem I have with itis
the task of having to scrape an Aveo out from inside the wheel wells every
other month or so......; )
My wife just loves her Grand Cherokee LTD too. I just wish it came
"biggie-sized".

Those Aveos are pesky little critters, aren't they? *LOL.

N.

lol And the Echos (toyota) and the Prius...etc How about those
street-bound golf carts, SmartCars I think they're called. Saw one on
the road near my house a couple of months ago. I swear, that one would
lose in a wreck between it and a Yugo.

You don't know what you're talking about

I'll bet your 4x4 would be lucky to do as well

All this chatter about fuel efficient street cars is baloney. You'all
talk that we need a fuel efficient car - but you're not gonna buy one!
You want the dirty unwashed masses of people to buy one. Well guess
what, they don't want one! You know why? 'Cause they can do math! (or
own cars with computers that do math)

F'r instance, say you drive 15,000 miles a year and get 20 mpg at
$2.50 a gallon (using easy numbers). So your annual fuel bill is $750.
Wow. So you buy a little boring car that gets 40 mpg and you double
your gas milage. You save $750 a year. Wow. How amazing. And how much
does the little pea popper cost? And the insurance? And if you get in
a wreck, you die if you get hit by a larger car. Wow.

My car has a twin cam V-8 *develops 310 bhp and gets 17 mpg highway.
It puts a smile on my face. I use an electric bicycle to run short
errands and it makes me smile, too.

And the thought of the rest of the dirty unwashed masses driving
around in little pea poppers that get 50 mpg makes me smile, too.
Because there's only so much gas out there, and they're saving it for
me!
So you're a 3D kind of guy
