Many southern women have expressed to me the fact that their southern
husbands are too fat to have sex with except when the woman is on top,
because the gross weight of a southern man is enough to crush a woman,
plus they sweat too much. Yet, the southern (NASCAR WATCHING) men seem
to be proud of their morbid obesity and they use phrases like "livin
large". I think the southern phenomenon of going out into 35 degree
weather in a t shirt and no coat is something that was started by the
good old fat southern NASCAR fans. As any intelligent person knows,
the south is the most obese part of the country.

Being from NE Ohio and now living in NC, I understand areas of the
South have problems, so does every other part of the USA.

As far as men being overweight, you are wrong. In Ohio, most of the
men I saw were overweight, not thin. Thing being: weather. Northern
weather, is well, to put it frankly shitty. Cloudy most of the time,
cool, very few sunny warm days. Men tend to stay
inside more in NE Ohio. Down here? Beautiful weather (82 degrees
today) and men
are outside, working in yards, running, riding bikes.

Our seasons of better weather are better than the North, and the people
in the Southern
climates get outside much much more.

I've lived up north, out west, and down south. I like down south just fine.

generally are based on "self reported" data. Since southern good old
boys tend to lie more to save face, their self reported obesity rates
are probably understated.

MN ME MT RI AK are among the states that have below average obesity
rates. AL AR NC TX MS are among the states with above average rates.
The data does not support the idea that cool weather is correlated with
obesity.

This may seem picky, but I didnt say that "southerners lie to save
face". I said that "southern good old BOYS tend to lie more to save
face". By "boys", of course I meant southern males of various ages. I
believe what you said is true of southern women, not men, although
nonsouthern women certainly have a lot to offer. There seems to be an
enormous ego problem that southern males have, and I dont really
understand it. They are more financially irresponsible than northern
men - borrying money to buy expensive 4WD pickups, bass boats,
expensive hunting gear and even hunting real estate. They drive more
wrecklessly - as evidenced by their higher traffic fatality rates.
They commit more crimes. They divorce more. They eat more fatty
foods. You cant even have an intelligent conversation with one because
he stumbles so much over his ego that he cannot express an intelligible
thought regarding any abstract ideas that do not pertain directly to
