He drove and was in the right place at the right time. Was he one of
the Fords that was using the new engine package?
Nah. Ragan had it though and finished about 20 spots better than usual.

It was nice to see a nice guy win.
Hopefully he'll be signing a deal real soon for next year..
Heard he's pretty close.

Dan

Still with Roush I assume.

Negative.

This is true. McMurray is a driver without a seat at the end of the season.
But at least everyone knows that he can drive the car to victory circle.
You cannot say that about everybody.

NASCAR is the toughest sport in America. It takes eight million dollars
just to run the races and twelve million dollars to compete and twenty
million dollars to win.

Jamie McMurray may have never gotten to that vaunted twenty million dollar
level but that does not mean he cannot race and win. He can flat get on the
wheel.

Auto racing. The sport that separates the men from the genetic freaks.

Don't beleive so. I think Kenseth and Ragan were using the new
engine, and Edwards, Biffle, and McMurray the old, amoung the
Roush cars.

Can't say I saw any difference between the 5 cars that couldn't
be explained by driver skill/luck of the draft. So about all that
was proved was that the new engine won't blow up. But that was
probably all that Yates expected, in the plate configuration;
there isn't much opportunity to gain anything there.

Bass Pro Shop.
That, apparently, is the holdup. EGR is happy enough with the
idea of McMurray as a Truex replacement. Bass Pro Shops is less
enthused, because McMurray simply doesn't look like a hunter/
fisher type, and Bass Pro Shops doesn't sell surfboards.
