Oooh, lookie, the dull one thinks that disappointment in your favorite
driver & team's effort is the same as abandoning said driver's fan
base....
Based upon the quality his/hers'/...it's? contributions here, why should
we
be expect anything less than that?
Hey genius, blind allegiance makes you a fanatic, not a fan.

totally agreed !!!

IMO, the ones who never question what a driver or team does are the ones
who
just don't quite get it.

Absolutely ! For those of us who have been a 24 fan since that long pathetic
moustache c/w his aggresive driving style arrived on scene, it has become
very clear that JG lacks what he once possessed. There's nothing wrong with
altering allegiances (hell, how many Green_bayers do you think will now be
rootin' for da' Jets ??)

Some Green Bay fans will be rooting for Brett Favre, NOT the Jets.

A lot of GB fans are glad the drama queen is gone.

His name is Jeff, not Jeffery. ;-)
Tongue_cheek :> He's fast becoming a Jeoffery. I dunno what's up there - but
frankly I think the 24 crew should walk off the job after all the shit and
abuse and criticism they are taking from a driver who can't seem to get it
done any more (largely because I think he doesn't WANT to get it done any
more).

I might cheer for Papis - love the accent ;-) I already like Ambrose,
but there's nobody like Driver 24. ;-\
I've followed all race series for many a year. I always had "my guy" in each
series. INDY / CART was always Tracy & Michael, and F1, as soon as he
arrived, it was JPM (spawned by CART). NASCAR was JG as soon as he hit the
scene (there were others prior - but hell, I can't even remember what the
cars looked like back in the day, let alone remember drivers names). And now
there's Danica LOLOLOLOLOL

Proving, once again, that DES was the greatest driver in Nascar history,

I've never partaken in any debate on that topic, and really don't aspire to.
It's akin to comparing apples and oranges. I prefer to stay with present day
for what the sport offers

and his fans didn't abandon him!!!!

And your point is .. ????

Just to clarify ... I'm very likely as much a fan of the sport as I am of
any driver. I enjoy a JPM/KH tangle as much as any JG win. It's the sport
itself which attracts, I suspect, moreso than any hill_billys son modelling
blue jeans.

The point is, JG "fans", are saying that he should retire, and that he
doesn't have it anymore. It would seem that the JG "fans" set their
standards too high for him. He's in the top 12, and will probably make
the Chase, I don't see what the problem is.

While that is very likely true, there WILL be a complement of GB
residents/fans who will opt to cheer for the jets (because they are
fanatics - which has recently been pointed out to you). One can be fan (of
players, teams, home city, drivers, car color, bump&grind drivers, ......
etc. etc. ........... i.e. there's no definitive limits on what can and
can't be a fan of).

LMARO !! That also is very likely true. That said, and IMHO, mr. Gordon is
slowly evolving into one of those drama queens. ANd mr. Gordon, not unlike
mr. favre, is seemingly losing what once made him the huge success he once
was.

KB, and still HMS driver JJ (I'm lookin' for spots on those wagons - but tks

This coming from the one who in this very same thread penned:
"That's right, let it all out, it will make you feel better when buying
that #18 underwear and bedsheets."
That ain't personal, huh, dim one?
Stupidity, arrogance, & projection.
Nothing new here...
