I thought there might have been another side of the story. I hope Kevin is clean. He seems like a good kid. That's a very good question. Was Grubb checked out at the race. If not, why not, and, if so, why was the concussion not diagnosed. Good question, but concussions aren't always immediately obvious after a wreck. I have had a couple after some horseback riding wrecks and both myself and those around me didn't realize I had one until later on. <snip |

from the article I read... (Jayski?) it said he did go to the infield care centre and was released. |

Grubb told the Times-Dispatch he was "foggy'' after his accident last week and that he doesn't "remember most of being at the track.'' Asked if Grubb's comments might change NASCAR's stance, spokesperson Kerry Tharp said: "NASCAR made multiple requests for him to submit to a test and we're comfortable on our position with that.'' Makes no difference...... The girls with me at the water park when I had a concussion last year made repeated requests to leave the place too. I declined or was non-committal about it. I made repeated requests of them for a locker key that was actually in my possession, not theirs. 'Have no recall of any of it. Despite appearances that you are interacting normally with a person suffering concussion , they are off in the enchanted kingdom somewhere and nothing you say to them is getting through. NASCAR should certainly have enough access to experts and experience with similar injuries to know this. What it boils down to is taking advantage of a person while in a state of diminished mental capacity. If NASCAR can be comfortable with their position - taken under these circumstances - it spotlights the moral and ethical shortcomings of those making the decision. Don't matter...and I typically despise most of N$'s decisions...his |

NASCAR should have been fair about it and tested Grubb on Monday. Do they think he's trying to beat the results? What serious drug would be out of a person's system after just two or three days. Someone said ephedra is all they can think of. Would NASCAR be this harsh on someone for taking ephedra? |
