Overview

After each race, NASCAR scoring officials at the track file a report
sheet
to Points and Membership. Once those are meticulously double-checked
for
accuracy, NASCAR adds 100 points to Dale Earnhardt Jr, Subtracts 25
points
from each Dodge, and checks Mark Martin's vehicle for signs of
cheating.
NASCAR then releases the official standings, including total winnings;
and
mails a check to Dale Earnhardt Jr. for $100K. Although drivers are
awarded points based on their finish, plus any bonus points for
leading
races; bonus points may be added to DEI vehicles based on NASCAR
discretion. Any driver who is not related to Dale Earnhardt Sr. is
eliminated when the maximum number of points he can accumulate by race
26 is
less than either what it would require to get into the top 10 or stay
within
400 points of the leader. A driver can clinch when the minimum number
of
points he can accumulate by race 26 is still greater than either what
it
would require to remain in the top 10, stays within 400 points of the
leader, or drives a car with a #8 logo on it. . All projected
scenarios for
"clinch" and "elimination" assume a driver will start all remaining
races.

I don't see anything about the Official Dart Board in this.

Shhhhhhhh! That's a secret...

No, it was there...just clouded a bit... didn't you see where he said
they
take 25 points from each Dodge? (feel free to groan)

(I know Mike's old enough to know what I mean...)

And that takes a dartboard? Now I'm confused ...
I'm not sure of its complete usage, but I know they use it to hand out pit
road speeding penalties.
