How or why did Junior finish 15th?

I had to turn the race of with lightning all around my house and did not see
the last 90 laps. Junior was running 9th or 10th when I shut of the TV. What
happened?

I was wondering the same thing, and I watched it! Looked like at the

end he was going high and low looking for a line. Perhaps bad tires or
handling went away?

I'm sure you'll get plenty of other answers too though.

I did like the last 20-30 laps of the race though, but the first 200+
were a snooze fest.

The last few laps were a typical NASCAR manufactured finish.

What's wrong with 15th. That's a good finish for Jr. That new crew
chief is really working out great.

I agree Junior and McGrew are working well together. I am glad he finished
15th, but they are communicating well and each week run in the top 5 or 10
until a mishap. Since I did not see the end of the race, I quessed a mishap
occurred. Soon Junior will finish top 5 and then a win.

No mishap at all. 15th is mid-pack, that's where he finishes. He
drives as fast as his talent allows. As the race comes to a close, the
other drivers pick up the pace and race as hard as they can. Jr. can't
compete.

Not at all. He survived the race to end up there. Some of the drivers
that typically finish ahead of him had problems.

Not at all. He survived the race to end up there. Some of the drivers
that typically finish ahead of him had problems.

Junior has been the highest finishing Hendrick car exactly once all season,
and that was at a restrictor plate race. In contrast, he has been the lowest
finishing Hedrick car 7 times, and has been the second worst Hendrick
finisher 10 times.

What's really gotta be embarrassing for Jr. is that Brad Keselowski has a
win and just as many top 5's and top 10's as Junior, while only starting 7
races to Junior's 19 starts.
