Default IDEA FOR NASCAR - 02-16-2006 , 05:54 PM

Why doesn't NASCAR make a trailer, that would be pulled by all
the trucks they have, that has a long magnet hanging down from it,
that they would send out during yellow flags, to run around the track,
which would pick up all of the metal on the track. It wouldn't pick up
anything but metal, but that is what causes most of the tire problems.
I have seen short versions of this used in a lumber yard and
was amazed at how much they picked up.

Finally good to see a regular poster!

Now honestly-you think they would consider that smart? I'll agree-would be
better than "blow drying" the track!!!

What about brake pads, aluminum, etc. that aren't magnetic?

They already have magnets under the track, which is what keeps Jeff Gordon
on the track and helps him win 13 races a year. All they have to do is
call the black helicopter and tell it to have the CIA shut down the magnet
for a few seconds. Then the banking on the track will allow the stuff to
roll to the bottom. Then you just need one of those NYC street sweepers.

Because a lot of the metal that is lost from the cars isn't magnetic?

Hey Wayne !

Long time no see. Hope you've fully recovered and are doing better.
Place is still full of mainly nothing but sludge postings, but it gets
a little
better once the season starts. Just have your "ploinker" in place and
use it,
and use it lots :-)

Well well, one of RASN beauty queens is still here! How have
you been? I missed you! And how did you know about my medical
problems?

Thank you Wayne. All the oldtime regulars know about you. We've all
been hoping you were doing ok. I was so happy to see you post.

I've been ok. Left Ohio and moved right smack dab into Nascar Country.
Live a mile from Charlotte aka Lowes Motor Speedway. Near bunches of
the shops.
