LOL. It hurts me more than it will hurt him, but I'm saying this FOR
HIS OWN GOOD. ;-) If he wants to complain, he should do it on the
private radio channel.

Private channel? I'm pretty sure that teams are not allowed to use
anything
but plain language communication on public airwaves.

I guess they could hire some Navajo Indians....

I understood from comments last year, that yes, the teams can switch to
a channel that can't be overheard by the broadcasters - not necessarily
out of the Nascar officials' hearing, but out of the commercial TV
peoples' hearing. I could be wrong - it's happened before.

N.

I've heard several different scenarios about "private team" communications.
I've heard there is an alternate channel (outside of their published primary
and alternate channels) and I've also heard there is a chance that a lot of
the teams have encrypted comms at times (one team member I know refered to
it as a "secure channel"). No one has ever had a really solid answer for me
over in Mooresville when I asked about it, but I do think there is a way for
teams to communicate with their drivers in such a way that basic scanners
will not pick it up or will not be able to "hear it" as it was transmitted
(aka encrypted).

The only thing I have heard for sure is that when such communications are
used, that NASCAR has the necessary equipment to listen in. So it apparently
is possible/is happening, I just don't have the skinny on how they're doing
it...yet.

And we get NO help from the media.
Is JG the only driver to whine/bitch about a teammate? Doubtful.
It seems The TV Racin Media wants to fire up FAGs.

I've always thought that Dale Jarrett was a constant whiner, but since
he isn't spotlighted much these days, it doesn't matter if he is or
isn't. Tony Stewart always whines about something when he's in the
picture; he seems to have gained some maturity the last few races.
Almost every driver has whined multiple times about various things.
Big deal.

You have a good point there Cru. I've heard teamies from most of the major
teams bitch and or moan about their stable mates from time to time, from
Evernham (Mayfield-Kahne) to DEI (Junior-Mikey) and every team in between.
How many times did we hear Senior dress down Mike Skinner in the then 31
Lowe's machine? More than once.

Maybe it's just that Gordo is the only one they can hone in on lately? Maybe
they are trying to stir up the pot? Dunno.
