Jeff Gordon goes into the Fix and leads the first race like nobody's
business.

He had the fastest car - needed clean air. He should have picked the
pit right behind Harvick, and then when Harvick's team added a spring
rubber, JG would have been leading. OTOH, JG's pit crew isn't the
swiftest ;-)

And, even though I'm a JG fan, he needs to quit complaining on his
radio when one of his teammates takes a little initiative to win a
race...there's no reason Vickers should have moved over (other than he
was ultimately slower than JG). Jeff, shut up on the radio!

OMG!

A JG fan admits JG needs to quit whining. I will mark this day on my
calendar Nancy and keep it forever, as I don't think this has ever
happened before.

LOL. It hurts me more than it will hurt him, but I'm saying this FOR
HIS OWN GOOD. ;-) If he wants to complain, he should do it on the
private radio channel.

Private channel? I'm pretty sure that teams are not allowed to use anything
but plain language communication on public airwaves.

I guess they could hire some Navajo Indians....

Or they could just get rid of that worthless pile of dung Brian Vickers.
Oh, they already done that.

I understood from comments last year, that yes, the teams can switch to
a channel that can't be overheard by the broadcasters - not necessarily
out of the Nascar officials' hearing, but out of the commercial TV
peoples' hearing. I could be wrong - it's happened before.

Do you JG fans have a touch of the flu? TWO in one day! This is truly a
day to remember. LOL

Under the thread "VICKERS IS STILL A" Greg wrote the following:

"Let me start this reply with the fact that I am a 24 fan... HOWEVER,

Every one of those cars out there is on that track for one reason... to

win the race. I don't think anyone should pull over for anyone (or
allow them to lead a lap for their 5 bonus points). If you have the car

to make the pass, then do it. If you don't have the car settle down and

run where your equipment enables you to. Teammates or not, everyone
should get their position by earning it.

Gordon did have the faster car at that point, and finally got around
Vickers, but he could have just kept his mouth shut and concentrated on

setting up the pass. No freebies here, you want the win, go earn it."
