Default Johnson answers critics - 10-11-2009 , 04:37 PM

From Jayski:

Johnson changes his name: In an unexpected move to quell complaints
about his monotone nature and robot-like demeanor, 3-time Sprint Cup
Champion, Jimmie Johnson has legally changed his name from Jimmie
Johnson to Quatro Ocho. Quatro Ocho also plans to spike his helmet,
dance a little jig, and smash his trophy if he wins the Pepsi 500 this
week at Fontana, CA. When asked about the name change,
Chandra Ocho, formerly Chandra Johnson, said, “I’m okay with it.
Really, I am. Whatever we can do to appeal to the newer NASCAR
fans and sell more merchandise has to be a good thing. You know,
a girl can never have too many diamonds.”

LOL. But you have to admit, both DW and Kyle Busch are a lot more
entertaining (and irritating) than Johnson.

I have a dvd about DW, and in it he reflects on his past and
admits that he didn't like his reputation and the way he acted.
He was cocky, mouthy, and obnoxious. While that may be
entertaining for us, at the end of day, DW has to like what
he sees in the mirror and live with it.

He still is, so it can't bother him too much. Granted he's not
anywhere near as annoying as he was back in the late 70's and
early 80's.

often.
