Apparently neither one of you were taught that you don't chase a ball
into the street.

then how am I going to get my ball before someone runs over it? <G

BTW, have you already forgotten about the safety worked that was killed
at Daytona a few yrs ago?

I'm gonna step out on a limb and say that someone in the middle of the
track is more likely to get run over by a car on the track than someone
that is in the infield grass... call me crazy... if we want to save
everyone and make sure no one else dies as a result of an incident at a
NASCAR event, we'll have to hook up an xbox or playstation to the
jumbotron and let em race that way...

I'm just going off of this statement "lots of things "could" happen... but
usually don't..".
we are both going off the same statement... however throwing an apple in the
orange bowl is a stretch...

Start-n-Park?:
#09 Bliss 21 laps, #66 Blaney 82 laps.
I don't think that's fair to Blaney - they ran a fair bit of
the race before dropping out, and ran decently for a low-buck
team. I beleive they dropped out for a legitimate mechanical
failure.

Bliss I'm not so sure about - overheating is a bit of a suspect
reason for dropping out (and James Finch's team have been around
for a while, and aren't likely to make mistakes installing the
radiator or any of the other silly things new teams suffer from).

There's no way i can determine if a car is a S-n-P, but in keeping
with Nascar's benevolent dictatorship & making up rules as they
go along, it will be interesting to see how N rules on this issue
this season. I think we all know N is the primary motivator
to encourage S-n-P by enlisting teams to enter when <43 cars will show up.
