Default Kyle Busch = The Best - 06-02-2008 , 08:24 AM

No doubt, this guy is showing that he is better than anyone else.
Right now he is likely the only driver who has a real chance at the
Cup Championship. He will leave the remainlng 11 in the chase in the
dust.

I have to agree. I don't think he's the most talented by any means, but he
has what it takes - a won't lose attitude. He drives the way Gordon did in
the 90's and he's reaping the same harvest. Unfortunately, the rest of the
field has morphed into NASCAR drivers of the new millennium, that enjoy
overly comfortable lives and don't feel the need, or have the fire to win
anymore. Kyle has the fire to win, and that's what's driving his success in
my opinion. The Chase can change everything since it's so few races, and
one bad judgment call can put you out of reach, but if the season were just
to play out without the foolish (contrived) Chase, I don't believe anyone
would touch this kid.

Fortunes (of all kinds) ebb and flow. It's his time to be "up."
Things will change eventually. And you can't really say he's the only
one with the desire to win - that's just not true.

Any-hoo...Yeppers, there may be others with 'the desire', but he's the one
gettin' *results*...much as I dislike his persona.

Its interesting to note that KyB is still fast even after the NASCAR
anti-crab rule. He's certainly running well **right now**. He's found
a good set-up and strong power.

Lots of drivers have the desire to win. IMO, its just a matter of of
time before they start to catch up.

I'm withholding judgment on "legendary status" until KyB wins a couple
of cups and dominates more than just half a season.

Oh, I certainly believe it is. There is nobody out there on any given
Sunday that matches he desire to win. The closest might be the 11 car, but
I'm not sure he has the same drive.

Yeah he'll finish the season with 500 more points overall
then the winner of the championship. And show what a joke
Nascar is once again.

So, I guess the NFL is a joke because they allowed the Giants to win against
a team that had more wins. Ouch...

Ouch? You make it sound as if your comparison is right on the money
and the winner of The Best In Your Face Comparison Award. That is not
even close to being a relevant comparison. Not even apples and oranges
dude. Your comparison was more like apples and rusted bolts off a '64
Ford.

I've said this once and I will say it again. The NASCAR Chase is
exactly the same as if you were to stop the leader of a marathon 50
feet before the finish line. Then make him stand idle while the other
runners catch up.

It's not what you do at the end of the race, it's what you do through
the entire marathon.

Ouch....
