Loren Just another nail in NASCAR's coffin as a major sport. Maybe Dale Junior can get off some jokes at Kyle Busch' expense for a change. That would be kind of funny. It is pretty sad that for 2009 NASCAR's shining light is fifty year old journeyman Mark Martin. Maybe NASCAR is trying to spin him as the Brett Favre of auto racing. I am going to retire. I am going to retire next year. Aw, hell, I changed my mind again and I am not going to retire this year. Wait, give me a minute and I just might change my mind back again if I can remember where I was before. It would be double funny if Jim Johnson won the title for the fourth or fifth year in a row and nobody cared. Jim Johnson is sort of a Jeff Gordon clone where they left out the witty personality. |

There's a difference between being aggressive and driving like an a**hole and his driving has fallen more in the latter category than the first category this year (and in previous years for that matter, which is why he was let go from Hendricks). If he hadn't wrecked so much while behaving like an a**hole during many of the races this year, he'd have been there at the end. Also, he may want to re-think trying to have it all and running in 3 different series. He's now demonstrated that he's merely mortal and not as much of a hotshot as he thinks he is. I suspect that next year he will drop running in one of the 3 series so that he can focus more on doing better in the Sprint Cup series. My guess is that he will most likely drop the truck series next year. |

Did they teach you to read or were you at recess when they gave that lesson? I did not say that there was anything wrong with Mark Martin. He is like the Brett Favre of NASCAR. What is sad is that NASCAR's biggest star is an old journeyman. |
