Anyone else find it ironic that during the lap in which they were honoring #3, the racer who delivered the fatal blow ending his life cuts a tire? |

The only fatal blow delivered that day was from a concrete wall. |

SM NEVER touched DES's car on the last lap in turn 4. |
|
Rusty came up the middle and took the air off of DES's spoiler causing him to get loose and he lost control of the car. |
|
And what the OP is talking about, is today during the BUSCH race they had a silent lap on lap 3, during the "silent lap" Kenny Schrader cut down a tire and spun out. The OP is insinuating that KS delivered the "fatal blow" in the 2001 Daytona 500. |

My take on this lap 3 thing of today......it's DE himself saying "Enough with the silent lap 3!" He wasn't one for all of this attention. -- La Vonna |
