I too am on the wall but
pray mayfield is right here because if a meth addict has been racing
that is some scary stuff...

At least meth sounds like the sort of drug that 'might' improve performance.

When Fike admitted using heroin on race day, that was _really_ scary.

One side effect of that was making me think maybe heroin isn't as bad or as
debilitating as I had always thought. I wonder how many of those that see
Mayfield as guilty also are thinking, "well maybe meth aint that bad after
all. JM looks like a 'good guy' and has been racing on it without anyone
being able to tell"

MY GOD, PEOPLE!!!!
You guys are talking about this as if he might have smoked a little pot occasionally.
Have any of you actually KNOWN a meth-head?????
That shit doesn't allow ANYONE to function for long!!!
The entire accusation is ludicrous on it's face.
They'd have been a *lot* better off accusing him of cocaine use,
but the reactions in here have shown me that Barnum was right.
It don't matter WHY they did it,...it WORKED.

Also, actually seeing someone take meth on 30 occasions is an interesting
claim. Maybe if you are a close friend, or someone who is into taking the
same drug, but a step-mother he apparently never got on with??

I think regardless of Mayfield using or not using, the stepmother's
claims border on the outrageously false and make her totally
unreliable and unbelievable. Especially if they didn't have any kind
of amiable relationship at all, there's no way she could have observed
him "cooking meth."
If she is what you make her out to be, I can easily see her being in the
room with him and using meth with him. Just because they do not get along
now does not mean they did not at one time, and for that matter, druggies do
drugs with whoever has them, even if they don't particularly like them. Her
testimony might not be all that it's cracked up to be, but I wouldn't
discount it simply because Mayfield says he doesn't like her.

I discount it because it's so over-the-top and because even if JM was
in a meth haze, he would not put himself in a situation where someone
who doesn't like him could jeopardize his career. IMO, of course.
