I'm not sure why people that like him
don't want to see him drive a winning car
for a winning team??

Who cares 'who' he drives for?
If you like the kid, don't you want to see him
contend for the title?

great combination..
I am unimpressed with Stremme and would not have swapped Sterling Marlin for
him.

I just don't know why there is such animosity for an owner like there is Jack
Roush.

The only one that comes close in here is Rick Hendrick, and that's mostly from
the trolls who can't resist putting "felon" in the same sentence every time they
type "Rick Hendrick."

There's no such vitriol for Gibbs or Penske or Childress or Evernham or Ganassi
or even Teresa Earnhardt -- only for Roush.

IMO, it is partly because he is (or quite often used to be) the first one in
line to accuse a dominant team of cheating.

That's the youth movement for you, and I am sure it was more sponsor-driven
than Ganassi-driven. No one wants a 40 somethin that "can" get top 10s and
top 5s, they want a teenager or 20-somethin in "their" (the sponsor's) car
nowadays, for the long haul, that is likely a better chance at getting wins.

When McMurray got into Sterling's car a couple years ago and won at
Charlotte, I think the writing was on the wall for ol'Sterling, sadly.
They've given him a couple of years post broken neck to get back into form,
and his results aren't back up to par I guess.

Jayski says that Childress and maybe Yates are looking to give him a shot
maybe. He'd be a perfect fit at Yates to get the "new" 3rd car/team up to
speed with his experience IMO. Maybe? I'd hate to see him go totally away.

maybe this will mark the rehabilitation of J. Roush in a bunch of
people's eyes (including my own) :-).

Katharine
p.s. Ricky Craven is the most common name in the rumor mill at the
moment to drive the #6 for 2006. as always, salt to taste.

I'm a Craven fan and I was hoping he would get the 6 ride.

Would have much rather seen Jamie drive the #2 over the #6.

Oh Well.

I had my fingers crossed. So, who do you think it will be in that car for
2006?
I certainly hope not Casey Mears.....

It is a long-running joke based on the fact that Jack Roush has the look and
demeanor of a fellow who would foreclose on the family family without
blinking an eye.

Exactly, and you know what they say - the best defense is a good
offense. I suspect the Cat has cheated for years, and still is, but he
always is in front, leading the accusatory chorus.
