Yes It does...Stinks really really bad..I was a fan of McMurry but
wont
be anymore. Chip was stupid for letting him go, I mean what a stupid
move. I think having McMurray and Stremme together would've been a
great combination..

I'm a McMurry fan too, but will find it very, very difficult to support
him as long as he is driving for that guy. I wish I could get past
that,
but I can't. I've tried with Carl Edwards, who I also like a great
deal,
but just can't bring myself to do it. Damn that Jack Roush!!

Would have much rather seen Jamie drive the #2 over the #6.

Oh Well.

Both are big time seats, recent years/finishes aside of course (though
both
teams/drivers have been doing ok the last little bit). I did think he'd
end
up in a Penske South car though, with his ties to Rusty and all. Do we
think, hypotetically speaking of course, that McMurray and Newman could
co-exist? Maybe? Likely? At times during their interviews (film and print)
they both appear to be somewhat 'loners'.

We won't know if anyone can work with the 12 team until Rusty is gone. I
think the entire deal has been a 50/50 thing. Rusty being abrasive like he
is and frankly, sometime I think Ryan and Matt think "their shit don't
smell." You can go on and on about who's fault it is but at the end of the
day it doesn't matter neither team has been able to benefit from the other.

Who cares 'who' he drives for?
If you like the kid, don't you want to see him

I just don't know why there is such animosity for an owner like there
is
Jack
Roush.

The only one that comes close in here is Rick Hendrick, and that's
mostly
from
the trolls who can't resist putting "felon" in the same sentence every

There's no such vitriol for Gibbs or Penske or Childress or Evernham or
Ganassi

IMO, it is partly because he is (or quite often used to be) the first one
in
line to accuse a dominant team of cheating.

Exactly, and you know what they say - the best defense is a good
offense. I suspect the Cat has cheated for years, and still is, but he
always is in front, leading the accusatory chorus.

N.

Exactly!! How many times has he been caught? I know they all do it, but
hell, why cry so loudly about someone else when your doing it yourself. I
suppose it's to take the attention off of himself.
I do wish JM the best of luck, and am glad he's with an owner he can win
with, but damn how I wish it were a different owner.

When we were in Phoenix, we sat around the pool and drank some beer with
Matt Kenseths spotter, Mike and his fiancé Jen, who works for Penske. They
both stated that the problem with that whole deal was Matt Borland. They
said he is very unwilling to share any info due to his very large ego. Now,
I know that just because they said it's so, doesn't make it so, but they are
closer to any inside information, than any of us in here. If that is the
case though, I don't understand why Roger doesn't step in and put a stop to
it.

I had my fingers crossed. So, who do you think it will be in that car for
2006?

My bet is that Travis will move from the 77 to the 2 and we'll see a truck
or Busch driver in the 77. At least that what I think will eventually
happen. Next year may be a short term veteran giving Travis one more year
in the 77. As strange as it may sound I was thinking that Mikey may get
that ride for a year or two but it seems NAPA won't let DEI get rid of him.
To be honest I don't think DEI has leg to stand on if they were to get rid
of Mikey; he's had a good season so far this year as far as a DEI team goes.

If that's true then my bet is that Rusty wanted out (of his ownership)
precisely because Roger didn't do anything about it. Additionally, with
Roushrick taking over the sport, Roger better take his head out of his ass
and make sure it doesn't happen with the "new" #2 team.

That said, I have to believe that Rusty brought some of this upon himself.
He fought having teammate for years, obviously didn't get along with Jeremy,
and I'll bet he left a bad taste in Matt's mouth early on in that
relationship. Maybe to the point where Matt won't share info just based on
Rusty's initial attitude. I'm a Rusty fan too but it's hard to ignore the
pattern of past years where teammates are concerned.

You can deal with it La Vonna. I am doing my best to deal with Kyle Busch
driving for Hendrick.

I'm hoping that Sterling is in the 6 car in 2006 so he can retire in style
with a competitive ride.

That's very true and I've wondered about that myself. But I did see
something lately, maybe on 360, that put a slightly different spin on the
Rusty/Jeremy deal too. Jeremy said they were/are fine and (of course Rusty
said this....so take it for what it's worth) Rusty said Jeremy's beef was
with management, not Rusty. I guess we'll never know, I don't think Rusty
was the easiest to work with, based on, like you said, the pattern of past
years. But in the #12 situation, I think a lot of it is Matt Borland. But,
again, like you said, maybe it was because of Rusty's attitude. At any rate,
an owner has got to step in and take control. Maybe RP has too many irons in
the fire to give the attention to his NASCAR team, that is obviously needs.

Rusty had to have seen the writing on the wall that multi-car teams were the way
to go. Even an old-schooler like Earnhardt saw that -- he didn't balk at
Childress adding a second team (although I don't think he was all that fond of
Skinner), he developed DEI into a two- and eventually three-car team, and formed
the RAD alliance with Childress and Andy Petree to share information.

Wonder why Rusty didn't buy in to the concept?
