I'm not sure about any rule requiring a pit crew.
But I know you must have a crew chief.

As for the desired requirement someone mentioned to
'complete the race or crash out'
I believe you are expected to 'compete to the best of your ability.'
If you're good enough to pull to a track with only enough stuff to qualify
and you do, that was the best you could be expected to do.
And like I said earlier, if you beat a full team in qualifying, with a car
you brought to the track in the back of a pickup, more power to you.

I'm not sure about any rule requiring a pit crew.
But I know you must have a crew chief.
I think it's a safety rule - they don't want anyone trying the
McDuffie routine of shutting off the engine, climbing out of
the car, fueling it, climbing back in, starting up, and back
out into the race.

I dunno if you have to have all 6 guys...you'd need 2, minimum,
to fuel, so maybe that's all you need.
