Him dead last in practice. Impound race. Very not good for Mikey. Ugh.

Mikey suck at Darlington too. Him may not race until Nextel Open. Ugh.

Not likely to be voted into the Allstar Race, either.

Mikey took a shot at the team owner thing just as many drivers have done
before and many drivers will do in the future.

It has not been a whizbang success from the go but the soap opera is not
over until the fat lady sings. Mikey might have a guaranteed three year deal
with Toyota or it could be race to race or most likely something in between.
The is plenty of time for improvement.

Every business decision or career move is not an immediate success.

It is okay to feel sympathy for Mikey and his slow start with his new team
but it is immature to make fun of it.

The most successful owner/driver in the "modern era" is probably Dale
Earnhardt. And the biggest reason why is because he didn't drive for
himself, and he let someone who was more qualified than he run the operation
for him.

Mikey has dramatically extended his career by being a big goof. And now
we're supposed to feel sorry for him when he bites off more than his
arrogant ass can chew?

He should be embarrassed by his lack of performance. I hope that missing all
these races in a row has been a humiliating experience for him, because he
really needed the humbling. He is amazingly cocky for a guy with 4 wins in
almost 700 starts, at tracks that the driver means almost nothing.

Hopefully he won't be all demoralized about it and get drunk and wreck his car
again. I mean he is a NASCAR owner after all, even if he does suck as a
driver.

I hope Reutimann has a good race. Seriously, why is Toyota so slow?

Well ..... first of all - brand new team(S), brand new race car .........
what did you expect ???

Second of all, ........ and keeping in mind all of the above, ...........
Michael Waltrip, Dave Blaney, Reutimann, Mayfield, the midget from CART, the
professor from the trucks, the most hated guy in HMS, .......... and the big
brown truck guy .................... not exactly a star_studded cast .... so
what did you expect ??

I'm withholding judgement until the Toys start hitting tracks for the 2nd
time...then we can start making fun of them in earnest. ;-)

LOLOL !!

I would definitely like to see one weekend where we'd stick Jeff G, JJ,
Tony, ... and say Kenseth and Kahne (so we'd have all the other
"manufacturers" covered) PLUS their teams, ... into Camries, .............
and stick Michael, DJ and Reutimann into Chevies .... and say the midget
from CART into a FORD, .... and perhaps Vickers into a Dodge
...................... and see what numbers come up.

I would bet that the cream still rises to the top, ... and vice_versa (wrt
drivers and their teams). Such an endeavour would be very interesting. It
could be a 'named event / weekend .... eg. the Toyota Challenge, ........
we'd have to move it west, of course - amidst more civil fans (to avoid the
flying beers etc.) ....... I'd recommend California ..... and let the fans
bring their own beers, their own smokes, etc.

It would be a weekend_to_remember :>)
