I must admit, I WAS WRONG for thinking TS might struggle this year. Is
he already the most successful owner/driver in the last 20 years?

A big CONGRATS to Marcos too. I hope he wins soon!

No he isn't. Alan Kulwicki was the most successful. He had little money
and did everything himself. That included owning and managing his
business, working on the car and making all engineering decisions. He
also won the championship in 1992. Stewart might win the championship
but he didn't do it on his own. How long have you been following NASCAR
racing, like six months?

With my statement, Kulwicki is exactly who I had in mind. Stewart's
third win this season, which is not over, surpasses Kulwicki's two
wins in '92, his best year.

Winning the championship then compared to now may not quite equate.

I have nothing against Kulwicki. He was extraordinary. But, Stewart
appears to be rewriting modern owner/driver history.
