They may have been looking at average over 10 laps, or something like that. Fastest lap in practice is rarely useful for predicting how a driver will run in the race, but looking at how a car is doing after it gets a few laps on the tires can be instructive. John |

John C'mon, you know that's not the case, John. btw, avg speeds: 1 Martin 2 Montoya 3 Speed 4 Johnson 5 Bliss also, note that they all only ran a handful of laps compared to everyone else, helping to keep their avg on the high side, oh yeah, HH was only a couple hours before quals too, considering their avgs are about 2 seconds quicker than everyone else, I'd say they concentrated on quals during HH |

In years past I used to look at Jayski for practice numbers, but this year I just haven't been interested enough to. John |
