Default NASCAR business / Tony Stewart - 02-20-2006 , 09:34 PM

Don't think for a minute NASCAR doesn't appreciate the special talents
of Tony Stewart. Just think about how much publicity mileage they're
getting out of Tony's on-track and off-track activities of the last week
or so. NASCAR just loves to be in the news, especially if it involves a
little controversy. That generates fan interest and more attention to
NASCAR. That increases viewer base and opens the door for new fans.

NASCAR loves Tony. He's their champion in so many ways. They couldn't
buy a better champion.

Yes, NASCAR is really desperate to find a new "Intimidator".

It seems to be working for Tony. He's somebody that almost everyone can
find something to love to hate. And he never lacks to be controversial.

He made a lot of points with fans and NASCAR in the Shootout.

I think of him as an AJ Foyt clone.
Great natural driving skill, but with a very short temper when things don't
go his way.

In terms of temper, Tony has a long way to go to catch up with grampa.
