They'll stay. It's not racing to them; it's marketing. It's also a
sport
they can follow that doesn't require them to get outside and practice
it.

Ever see how most people throw?

What sport requires its fans to get outside and practice it? Certainly
none
of the majors.

Every sports fan I know practices something of his favorite sport.
Baseball calls to you to swing a bat. Football calls to throw a bomb.
Basketball fans will shoot around.

Racing allows its fans to appreciate the sport sedentarily.
Till I get on one of those six lane freeways.

Baseball fans swinging a bat, football fans throwing a pass (I doubt most
can throw a bomb) and basketball fans shooting around is hardly
participating, and I would guess that far from all fans participate in these
activities. Nor is this kind of activity "required" as stated in your
earlier post.

I would even venture to say that more race fans "participate" in a similar
activity to racing than those fans do, since I would imagine most of today's
racing fans do, in fact, drive. Yes, this is not racing, but throwing a
pass isn't playing football; swinging a bat isn't baseball and shooting
around isn't playing basketball.

Ah, you can't throw.
In other words, I am right. (Oh, I can throw)

See above.
Good choice of words. Do the same.
