Those guys like Junior have a lot of nerve complaing about how tough the season is these days. If they would race once a week it would be over right quick. They are already off from November until February so when the season does start you would think they would want to race. But it does not look that way. But then three-quarters of them probably get discouraged because they know that Roush, Gibbs, and Hendrick drivers just take turns winning everything. They should try getting a real job where you work year round for |

Monday..meeting at the shop to de-brief after race. Tuesday..sponsor responsibilities; business appearances Wednesday..pre-race prep in shop Thursday..travel to race venue, set up, do pre race interviews Friday..practice Saturday...qualify Sunday...race Add nearly double that activity if you're running and/or owning a Busch car too. Because the point system is so volume dependent, the drivers have to run all the races to have a chance at a Chpship. Pro golfers for example, play only 2/3 or less of available events and can still win the Chpshp (Money list) with just a few wins. With all the other demands on time (Junior does beer, jeans, auto parts, cookies, cars, car rentals, etc commercials) I'm sure they'd like to be able to pick and choose to skip a race or two here and there. With the amount of money they are making, I really don't have too much |

Maybe DEI could tell Bud and Wrangler to hold onto their money, Jr.'s tired of making commercials. That's just one of the side effects of having all those millions thrown at you. |

With the amount of money they are making, I really don't have too much sympathy regarding the hours put in. That, and the fact that they are working in a profession that they truly enjoy. Even in my job, that makes all the difference, money aside. Carey in Manvel |
