If that were truly the case, the (at least) two fumbles made by Seattle receivers would've been ruled fumbles as they actually were, instead of incomplete passes. Also if that were the case, the fumble by Hasselbeck would've stood, as he wasn't "down by contact". He was touched, took at least 2 more steps then dove. Kinda stretching the "down by contact" rule there, weren't they? Fine, give Seattle the TD that was called back on the PI call. Give 'em the possession on the 1yd line. Maybe they get a TD, maybe they don't. Heck, if they don't, they might not get 3pts either with a kicker that couldn't seem to make anything. It's fine if you want to say the officiating was bad... it was... but that bad officiating went both ways. |
