If that were truly the case, the (at least) two fumbles made by Seattle
receivers would've been ruled fumbles as they actually were, instead of
incomplete passes. Also if that were the case, the fumble by Hasselbeck
would've stood, as he wasn't "down by contact". He was touched, took at
least 2 more steps then dove. Kinda stretching the "down by contact" rule
there, weren't they?

Fine, give Seattle the TD that was called back on the PI call. Give 'em the
possession on the 1yd line. Maybe they get a TD, maybe they don't. Heck, if
they don't, they might not get 3pts either with a kicker that couldn't seem
to make anything.

It's fine if you want to say the officiating was bad... it was... but that
bad officiating went both ways.

I don't think the officials gave the Steelers the game, but they sure seemed
to have prevented the Seahawks from winning, although Seattle might have
more of a bitch if they had managed the clock better and caught a few more
passes.

the seahawks for sure made some b-i-g mistakes, but
the one sided officiating did not give them a level
playing field which, i am sure, had an emotional
impact on their effort. they went into the game
as underdogs and then got beat down by the bad calls.
i think the steelers had a lot of help with their win...

Funny how Holmgren bitched about the officiating at their rally.
Could it be he was deflecting criticism of his pathetic time management
at the end of the first half, and his utter lack of brains when not going
for a field goal & subsequent onside kick at the end of the game?
Cowher's team got jobbed with the calls at Indy & Cowher said nothing
afterwards, Holmgren cried like a little girl after his game.
Cowher has gotten several letters of apologies from the NFL for wrong calls
in games the Steelers participated in over the years (including the Indy
game) and never cried about it afterwards, Holmgren has a habit of crying
about the officiating & has NEVER received a letter of apology from the NFL.
That is the difference between a winner & a loser.
