Sometimes I use this newsgroup for my own purposes. Just ignore it. You
must have better things to do with your time than to waste it on things
that have nothing to do with you and no entertainment value.

This does seem like something that would have been better accomplished
through email. But that wouldn't be your style now, would it?

It would be if I knew that person's email. But since I do not keep track of

I've wanted to say something about that for ages but have resisted before
now.

I get the feeling "I could care less" is the most common usage these days in
the US. (even if it doesn't make sense) I've even heard TV presenters say
it.

I usually couldn't care less about spelling and grammar on the web, but that
one annoys me, or at least sticks out to me every time I see someone use it.
