Oh, give the girl a break. Everybody isn't into thrill rides. I've been on one roller coaster in my life, a girl I was dating at the time talked me into it, and I will never do it again because I'm simply not into doing things like that for fun. Anyone who's into doing things like that for fun, more power to you and I wouldn't think of doing anything to hinder you from it. Just don't ridicule us folks who aren't. Also, I once had a chance to ride in a Cup car at Talladega. Ken Schrader was giving media people rides when he was driving Junie Donlavey's car sponsored by Red Baron. I said "no thanks" and have never regretted it an iota. I like watching racing and being around racing. I don't have any desire to be in a race car. From http://jayski.com : Presley not happy with Wally: Singer Lisa Marie Presley, who performed several songs during pre-race ceremonies, had quite an experience when she rode around the superspeedway with former NASCAR Cup driver Wally Dallenbach. But he perpetually wanted to make me feel like I was going to die every two seconds, riding me an inch from the wall." Lisa Marie Presley did a lot of things, but heroin wasn't among them. She claims never to have so much as tried it, and -certainly- wasn't an addict. |

Then she should not have gotten into the car. In typical spoiled fashion, she expected to treated special but Wally drove up to the wall just like he does with all celebrities who participate in the ride. The reason for doing laps with a celebrity in the car is to promote the celebrity because there's a movie or music album coming out they want to sell. NBC gets to have airtime with a movie or singing star during the pre-race broadcast. The celebrity gets to act like they're having fun, pretend they like NASCAR, and hope NASCAR fans will see their movie or buy their album. What does little Mz. Prissy Presley do? She acts like a spoiled brat and alienates herself from NASCAR fans. I think her singing career is going to continue to fail miserably. I've seen several photos of her where her eyes were sitting so far back in thier sockets that she looked like a skull with eyeballs. Lots of things besides heroin can do that to a person. -B |

Like she really needs the singing gig ... actually, from a musical standpoint, I think she's rather lame ... or NASCAR fans. The girl's got more money in petty cash than you or I will ever see in our respective lifetimes combined and multiplied exponentially to the 50th power. |

And I know of the reputation NASCAR drivers have of taking people up to the wall when they take 'em on rides, have heard stories of it for years and that's the primary reason I didn't get in the car with Schrader back in the 1980s. And yes, she bears some of the blame for not knowing what she was getting into before she got into it. But Alan, it sounds to me like you have a bee in your bonnet about Lisa Marie Presley for other reasons beside this. Did you not like her daddy or something? |

As good as her father was in his singing ability, he was nothing except a druggie. The only difference between the two is the voice! |

Because I do like her father's music, I don't like her bratty ill-mannered attitude. Other than knowing she married that nutcase Michael Jackson, I have never cared to pay attention to Lisa Marie enough to know her personality. By chance I happened to see her attitude during the NASCAR broadcast and, yes, it ticked me off. Then, I read her crybaby comments to the press and decided to voice my opinion of her. It's a shame she's such a poor reflection of her father. |
