Yes, the Glen is a long track but having to take several hours to dry
it is bullshit. There is no reason the cup cars couldn't have run rain
tires today at if NASCAR had been prepared to do it. The boneheads at
NASCAR just need to get off their asses and make the decision to do it.

conditions NEVER happen in the summer. Lebanon Valley Speedway, which
is a 5/8 mile high banked oval in West Lebanon, NY was COMPLETELY
filled with water 2 weeks ago from two of these storms over the course
of 2 days! The last time that happened, I was in Elementary school
and I am now pretty darned close to 50!!!! So, summers like this one
come about every 30-35 years apart, I guess!

But feel free to bash the northern tier weather: I will take 4 seasons
and cold weather over the heat and humidity you all seem to love in
the "warmer" states!
