Lots of empty seats seen through camera shots all through seating

When the economy improves the attendance will go back up. Things like this

Probably another reason could be the NASCAR formula does not work as
well any more.
I agree with that. NASCAR started in 1948 and now it is your folk's or
grandfolks's sort of entertainment. There are not many young NASCAR fans.

With 75.7% of the fans making over $50,000 per year and 74.7% owning their
home, it pretty much blows the stereotype low income, beer drinking redneck
right out the window, doesn't it ?

Attendance Sunday was estimated at 180,000, off about 20 percent from
last year, but in a statement Allstate officials said their decision
wasn’t based on that.

It would if you believe those statistics. The median income in America is
right around 40K. It is a stretch to believe that 75.7% of NASCAR fans are
so far above the average. It is possible, just unlikely. If NASCAR fans
are that flush then some of the cars should be sponsored by jewelry
companies.

I have serious doubts about those numbers, but even if they were true,
A household that was making 50g a year, now either laid off,
or about to be, with 26 years left to pay on their "owned" home
or re-finaced one, is not too flush right about now..
