here we go - again), BUT: I must admit - Mark Martin being seeded ahead of
Tony IS complete and utter bullshit. NASCAR is saying in one breath that IF
you make the cahse, wins are omni-important. But if you have multiuple wins
and are 13th or worse, .. then 'consistency' is the flavor of the 'criteria
moment'. All NASCAR needs to do is reward the winner (or top 3, or top 5)
far more handsomely.

the sportswriters (beginning of the chase). That's nothing to worry
about over the course of a race or two. If anything, it might be a
mental hiccup for the driver or team, but nothing more. I don't see
wins being a big advantage for any of the chasers, except in the
mindset ....
