CHARLOTTE, NC May 2, 2009 Dale Earnhardt Jr. reportedly is making plans to rejoin his namesake under the DEI name branding at season end and leave HMS. A person close to DEJ, speaking under conditions of anonymity, stated Dale Jr. may have reached an agreement to gain majority control of DEI from its current ownership and return to the team in a driver owner capacity. No, Junior & Company simply need to focus on getting their feet under
them above all else. They're the only HMS team without a win this
season, duh, so that needs to be their focus. If and when THAT
happens, he needs to win a Championship or several before attempting
the whole driver/owner thing, IMO.
But, it's his money. There's no better way to make a small fortune in
NASCAR than to start with a large fortune...not that I buy the fake
"news story" either. Besides, it ain't on Jayski.com. Nothing's true
until it's on Jayski's... ;-)
