CHARLOTTE, NC May 2, 2009 Dale Earnhardt Jr. reportedly is making plans to rejoin his namesake under the DEI name branding at season end and leave HMS. A person close to DEJ, speaking under conditions of anonymity, stated Dale Jr. may have reached an agreement to gain majority control of DEI from its current ownership and return to the team in a driver owner capacity. A HMS spokesperson has not returned our calls or email. Todd Christianson Charlotte Observer |
