If the ice caps were to melt, the Earth would quickly freeze over and
become a snowball. It wouldn't resemble Saturn, it would resemble, well,
a snowball.

Melting the ice caps will make the Earth into a hydrogen gas giant? If the ice caps were to melt, the Earth would quickly freeze over and become a snowball.
