Roy Blankenship wrote: Come on, Vic, you can find this stuff out for yourself. It is well documented that Rush has maligned drug users and addicts while holding himself as some example of clean and pure living. Rush pokes fun at "dope smoking, maggot infested, FM types." Rush, for a few years, was a "pill popping, balding, AM type" There was a time in the 60's and 70's when rock singers promoted the drug lifestyle. Remember "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" (LSD)? Rush is poking fun at them (you?). Rush never has promoted the use or abuse of pain medication. No hypocrisy here at all. You on the other hand prefer to judge people by culture's lowest-common-denominator instead a of higher, more virtuous standard. |

The others weren't holding themselves up as some sort of moral compass, denouncing drug addicts and maintaining they should all be jailed, while engaging in that realm themselves. THAT is why he is a scumbag, not because he became addicted. I don't know where you liberals get the idea that Rush Limbaugh is a "moral compass". (a term often used by liberals referring to Rush, I can tell you regurgitate talking points from the liberal left). Rush Limbaugh is hardly a moral compass and never has claimed to be as such. Please elaborate on why you refer to him as a moral compass? If you'd have said Dr. Laura, yeah, you'd have been right on. Rush rarely comments on personal behavior and/or morality and the few times he has eluded to it, he leans more to the left. Yeah, I get parody when there is parody to get. SNL was poking fun at him due to his conservative politics, not because of his status as a "moral compass". I'm just amazed at the criticism launched at the producer for recognizing that making fun of drug addicts is no laughing matter. With liberals, it's not a matter of "right or wrong" behavior, it's only about the individual's politics that counts. Which in my mind, makes liberals a hateful, spiteful, mean-spirited, intolerant, divisive segment of our society. Of course half of the Hollywood liberals that fill the rank & file's brain with all of those great liberal ideals have spent time in rehab themselves, but pointing out that hypocrisy is lost on those retards... |

His OxyContin wasn't legitimately prescribed or obtained. It was as illegal as any other illegal drug. keep telling yourself that. You dumb fuck. Can't you read? It has already been established that he obtained drugs illegally. If he were black and poor, he would be in prison already. Pay attention, do a google search. |

Since your viewpoint seems to be 180 degrees from reality, I will ask you only one question. What part of our society hates gay people? The liberals? Speaking to reality, I'd venture to guess there are as many dems with the same attitude towards gays as there are republicans. I'd say the dems pay better lip service (no pun intended) to gays than republicans. It sort of falls into the same category as the dems and how they claim to be the party that looks out for the minorities, yet when it comes to cabinet level appointments and supreme court appointments, it's the republicans that let their actions speak loudest. |
|
Had an epiphany yet? Are you going to tell us the right embraces gays? You're obviously gay and sensitive to the issue, but the fact of the matter is, I suspect an equal number of dems voted against gay marriage in the 11 states that had the issue on the ballot. Not only do I suspect it, I guarantee it. |

It's called a clue, get one. Rush's own bleatings about how others should be imprisoned for drug use IS moralizing. Are you suggesting that anyone that is not FOR legalizing drug use is guilty of "moralizing"? |
