| and only PT at that. Sure they may come back to the 3 for a special deal but | who's the driver gonna be? Will Goodwrench want to switch from the 29? | Eventually, and not too long I'd wager, we'll see the 3 with a "Cheerios" | sponsor on it and a "John A" behind the wheel and ... it won't be the same | anymore. It'll be over. |

Why keep the 3 on the sidelines so everyone forgets. It's not like retiring some nba players number, It needs to be out on the track. I think of John A. when I see the 43 just because of the Cheerios sponsor. and that's going to happen to the 3 too. First, Goodwrench is on the 29 now, and only PT at that. No one, not even DEjr, should ever race that number again. Bullshit. When I think of #3, I think of Junior Johnson, Fireball Roberts, Buddy Baker and Ricky Rudd, all better drivers than Earnhick. Earnhick drove the #2 and #15, anyway. So he died while driving Richard Childress' old car number, so what? I don't give a shit one way or the other, but that's the way it should be. At the height of the sport, we lost one of the best drivers there ever was. Tim Richmond was sorely missed. |

And really, I always thought the Wrangler car looked better anyhow. ![]() |

Teresa Earnhardt says it's unlikely Jr. will ever drive the # 3. Let's all speculate as to what that means, exactly. N. |
