Then he is not a true fan.

That's not exactly what he said.

Nah. "He got what was coming to him" didn't at all imply malice.

Not even the most diehard Stewart fan could look at that and say it wasn't
intentional. You'd have to be blind not to see it.

My best friend is a diehard Tony fan, and he arrived this morning saying
he
is ashamed to wear Tony's hat now.

he never said he didn't....yet you assume that is the way it is... if he
never "said" he did, and never said he didn't, i guess its all moot....at
least to small and closed minds..you are dismissed...believe me, you are...

And now since they've suspended Knauss three more races, DQ Johnson
from the 500 and park both Stewart and Kenseth for their little
tete-a-tete.

We haven't heard further discussion on Stewart and Kenseth yet.

But what? He tried to bang in and damage the 17's sheet metal. They hooked
up, and they both got down onto the apron/grass. Granted, it was a dumb
move
on the 20's part, but the outcome was not what Tony was intending I
imagine.
SimRacer, he tried to eliminate Kenseth from contention. Just like he
tried to eliminate Gordon by their little incident earlier.

Hopefully Tony's intention wasn't manslauter. But it could easily have
resulted in that.
A high speed track like Daytona historically has proven to be a killer.
Of all people out there, Tony should know that a lot more than just a little
bent sheet metal could result from a hard bump at 195mph.
He sent Kenseth spinning in the grass uncontrollably towards outside wall at
a fairly good clip. What if he happened to smack it square on the driver
side? What if another driver couldn't avoid the spinning 17 car and center
punched his door at speed? It wouldn't have been pretty. And I don't think
any current safety device would prevent serious injuries to the driver in
that situation.
Same kind of problem I had with Vickers putting Bliss in the infield at
the Open last year.

What's to say some of these cars won't flip? I know they're designed
not to, but I really think that NASCAR got real lucky with all the
frayed tempers that something didn't go down at Daytona.

Someone's going out of NASCAR in a pine box if NASCAR can't adequately
police these damn drivers.

Mike

Gordon screwed up. He admitted it.
