I tried to refrain from too much ot but this is too major to overlook.
Another Airbus plane fell apart and crashed and killed everyone.
A Continental pilot told me that it is widely known that the tail or
rudder just falls off of Airbus planes and then they are plunging bricks. |
It's difficult to find much negative info or safety record stats for
passenger planes but I don't recall ever hearing about a tail or rudder
falling off an Airbus. I have been of the impression that the 747,767,A330
and A340 have the best safety records of passenger planes and are pretty
much on a par.
This article claims to chronicle every problem there has been with the A330,
none of which involve aero bits falling off.

The A320 had some problems when it was new in the 80s but they were about
the computerised control systems rather than tail rudders or lack of rivets
I think.
