Take a back seat to the Mayans, they predicted this
500 hundred years ago.

I always wonder if those Mayans were so smart why did they go all
extinct? Did the Spanish flu get them or was it a big old drought?

I think their first calendar expired :>)

They did put a lot of stock in that sun and stars calendar.

If I were them Mayans I would have just said fuck it. The sun it going to
come up tomorrow morning and set tomorrow night just like it always does.

Nope, not until Dec. 21, 2012.

Maybe they just ran out of spaces in their field and did not mean that the
world would cease to exist. But if the Mayan Rapture comes I hope we get to
take our pets. I would miss my dog.

They didn't. Ask Elvis.

You are in luck, according to the fine print of the calender pets are
definitely welcome and possibly required.

I could do just fine without the dog but I noticed that the dog likes things
a certain way and I am not sure that the dog would be fine without me.

It is like this old story by this old dead guy named Mike Royko. A couple
of people go to the Christmas Tree lot and they see all of these nice trees
but they are like thirty dollars which is more than they have to spend. So
in the back of the lot there are some scraggly trees that are full on one
side but all mushed on the other. So they get two of them and wire them
together and they make one perfect tree. Life is not always bitter.
Sometimes life is good.

When The Rapture comes I want to go fishing. I got a couple of fishing
buddies waiting for me. All the rest can live in the mansions on the wide
streets with all of the luxuries but I just want to go fishing.
