When they didn't throw cautions for hotdog wrappers on the track.

When a car could spin out into the grass and they wouldn't throw a
caution.

when they didn't have this stupid race for the chase.

when there was no free pass, you had to earn it.

when all the cars didn't look the same.

And on and on and on

and no restrictor plates.

I wish they'd drop the engine size under 300 CI and let the teams innovate.
it will slow the cars and spread the field out.

We remember them days. And we know that they are never coming back. It is
all sanitized and homogenized now. Some of those guys probably still know
how to throw a fistfight, but the penalties are too steep. NASCAR will take
away their hard card for fighting when they could have been talking up their
sponsors.

It is funny to me that R2D2 robot Jimmie Johnson is winning the make believe
pretend title for the fourth season in a row. Next season it will be five.
Hooray! for that. Being a NASCAR fan these days is like being the last
passenger on the Titanic.

Well I'll admit I usually only watch the beginning of races then turn
to something else, and come back for the end.

Can't imagine watching an entire race unless I'm actually there.

Hey Nascar, you listening? We fans have no agenda with the exception of
non-contrived, non-BS old-fashioned racing. Also, even out the rules so all
the teams have a chance to win.
