Also judging from the back of Ambose's car, Gordon pushed him out of
the way to take the lead any way.
Two points...

1 - Since when is contact prohibited by NASCAR?

2 - The damage was judged minimal and the cause inconclusive.

Everything points to Gordon behaving like a fool.
In Australia he'd be known as a wanker.
In NASCAR, that's known as competitive spirit.

I've got no problem with Gordons pass on Ambrose. I would have been a
great finish to watch those two race. It was the spiteful response
when it went green that I dont like.

Like that's never happened before. And gone "unnoticed" by NASCAR.

I don't think he was being a jerk. I think he was just pissed. He felt
like he got screwed and stood his ground.

I'm certain you're correct in that. Unfortunately, Gordon doesn't
have the judgement capability to determine whether he was "screwed",
so he reaches an inappropriate conclusion and the upshot is that he
acted like a jerk.

John

Do you know him well-enough to make that judgment?
Having watched him for some considerable number of years now,
I think it's an opinion that can be supported with the evidence.

So you don't really know him well-enough to make the judgment. Maybe if
you knew him, it might be different?

Robby gets banned/kicked from every racing series it seems.

He whines about Marcus spinning him but he got the lead
by Spinning Marcus LOL. And then Spins him again and still
whines some more.

This proves how little you know about NASCAR. John was being gentle by
only calling him a "jerk." Regardless of what kind of person RG is away
from racing, his amazingly long record of acting & driving like a complete
asinine fool on the track speaks for itself. He's been called Menace,
Moron, etc. publicly many times by more than one of his fellow
competitors, and if you'd been watching NASCAR at all these last 5 years
(at least) you would realize everyone knows well enough that he's an
idiot. [Although to be fair, I don't completely blame him in this
situation. But being Robby, he just took it -way- too far.]

I didn't catch all of the interviews with Robby this weekend, but I did
catch the pre-race interview Sunday. He sure as hell wasn't whining about
getting turned around in that interview. In fact, he was quite clear in
saying that he did not believe Marcus spun him intentionally. There was no
whining from Robby at all Sunday. Surely you must be referring to a
different interview.

True, they both share stubbornness as a quality. But Luke was totally
"Cool" and Robby is a whiny Dork.

"You know a man by his actions". I suspose if I was personally
acquainted with Mr Gordon I might have a different opinion. But
the odds are against it.

I think Robby got robbed, but he disputed Nascar's call in a
disgraceful way - "double burnout?" That was totally unprofessional.
Disregarding the black flag? So was that.

He is usually his own worst enemy....but I understand why he thought
Nascar was wrong. He just went about protesting their call in an
idiotic way.

Any time a driver makes a comment about what happened on the track, or
another driver's actions, he "whines." That's the unfortunate
verbiage attached to comments like this.

Robby said a number of times in interviews, that "I got spun under
caution. I was never 13th [or 16th...he said both] in the race, so
why should I have to go back there?" I wouldn't call it a whine, but
many people do.
