CRU: Here he goes again: ROUSH RIPS HMS ON COT By JUSTIN TERRANOVA Saturday, May 19, 2007 NEW YORK POST CRU Excerpt: HMS drivers have won all 5 of the COT races and 8 of the [last] 9 races overall. Jack Roush, co-owner of Roush-Fenway Racing, said HMS stepped out of bounds with the parameters NASCAR setup for testing the COT. "NASCAR and Goodyear consorted to stop the teams from testing in the way we had previously," said Roush, whose Ford team the other win this season. "NASCAR thought they were going to introduce the car and everyone was going to have a level playing field and we were going to learn together. "But Hendrick in particular and Chevy teams generally have tested their cars thousands of miles in difference[sic] to NASCAR's wishes. "There was nothing illegal about it, but I chose not to go that way presuming all the teams were standing down. But now we will have to change our strategy." -- Crusader |

I didn't hear him whining when Roush Fords had 5 spots in the top 10 in the Chase. |

As I understand it, the different manufacturers have generally leap- frogged throughout Nascar history. Ford had their turn a couple years ago; now it's Chevy's turn. Next year, it will be someone else's. |

No, but I bet you did. Oh wait, I forgot that Jack Roush is the only one that ever complains - oops, I means "whines" about anything. No Chevy owners ever complain when they are at a disadvantage, eh? |
