Roush Tops Hendrick According to Jayski'sŪ Silly Season Site - Nextel Cup News Page, Jack Roush Racing tops Hendrick Motor Sports!! Carl Edwards' Busch Win is Roush Fenway's 350th Overall: Carl Edwards drove the #60 Dish Network Ford home to his second Busch Series win of the 2007 season in Nashville over the weekend and at the same time, hit a milestone for Roush Fenway Racing. Edwards' second consecutive win gave Roush Fenway their 350th overall win. Of the 350 wins Jack Roush has obtained, 234 of them have been wins in NASCAR's three elite series (Nextel Cup - 101; Busch Series - 90; Craftsman Truck Series - 43). Of the 101 Nextel Cup wins, 96 of them have been point races while the other five have come from wins in the Bud Shootout (1), The Winston (1), The Winston Open (1) and the Nextel All-Star Challenge (2). In the Busch and Truck Series, Roush Fenway's 90 and 43 wins respectively, make Roush the most winning owner of any other owner in both of those series. In addition to the 234 wins, Roush has also collected 116 road racing victories bringing Roush Fenway Racing's win column total to 350. (Roush Fenway PR)(4-9-2007) IMHO, Evil Jack Roush is jealous of HMS & will promote anything he can to top HMS. Roush has 5 Cup cars & 6 NBS cars, HMS 4 & 2, CTS? etc. We were made aware of HMS' 150th Cup Win at '07 3.LV & 153 at 6.Mvl, HMS' 200th win in the Top 3 Series at 5.Bristol (201 total at 6.Mvl). HMS has 23 NBS wins & 25 CTS wins (=201 currently). It may be true that Roush has more wins in The Top3 Series, but i have to question the writer's report (whoever that is) if he claims 101 Cup Wins that includes 5 non-points wins. Where else is the writer / Roush.org misleading us fans? Adding 116 road racing wins is very disingenuous. How many extraneous wins such as boat racing has HMS won? No doubt, stats are in the eye of the beholder! I hope y'all can distinguish between apples & oranges. -- Crusader |

Roush's PR report never mentions Hendrick. Roush-owned cars have taken 350 checkered flags throughout the history of Roush Racing. That's just plain fact. |

The comparison with Hendrick is your concoction and your spin on it only serves as an attempt to diminish Jack's accomplishments. |

I thot i was doing readers a favor by trying to make these stats somewhat comparable, using HMS as the comparee ![]() By my reckoning, Roush leads Hendrick 229 to 201 in Points Wins in all 3 major series. That is all. -- Crusader "jpchick" <nospam (AT) home (DOT) com> wrote armpit wrote: "Crusader" <cru357 (AT) sbcglobal (DOT) net> wrote in message news:57vi20F2djmluU1 (AT) mid (DOT) individual.net... ROUSH-FENWAY has zero wins prior to this season. that ownership didn't exist until this year, and the 17 car was previously listed as being owned by Mark Martin. (kind of shoots holes in you whole post) |

(kind of shoots holes in you whole post) LMAO.... and John Hendrick and Jeff Gordon have both been listed as car owners for Hendrick Motorsports, so that kind of shoots holes in your whole post. Let's just assume that we are all bright enough to get over those kinds of technicalities when comparing the two organizations. |
